Annie’s Cottage is a mid-terraced cottage located in a conservation area of the quiet and unspoilt village of Milton Combe. The picturesque village is within the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by the beautiful countryside between Tavistock and Plymouth, the area offers guests a slice of quiet rural village life. Inside, the cottage is presented to a very good standard to ensure a relaxing stay and benefits from a welcoming wood burner in the living area and a comfortable bedroom upstairs.

It’s ideal for walkers as there are numerous footpaths from the front door, or head up onto Dartmoor National Park for more challenging walking. During your stay, a visit to Tavistock, the historic port of Plymouth, and the interesting Morwellham Quay all make for a great day out. There is a delightful old pub, renowned for its good food, a level walk from the cottage, as well as shops and a garage in Yelverton. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Annie's cottage was a lovely little cottage in a very pretty village where everyone seems to take pride in the upkeep of their properties and gardens. Sally (the owner) and neighbours we met were all very friendly and welcoming. The cottage itself was well equipped and space was very cleverly made the best of. Kitchen and shower rooms were both very modern, and there was a very comfortable king size bed. (We would have scored 'comfort and equipment' 10 had there been a sofa that was as comfortable as the bed). It was also lovely to have the wood burner as our dog is addicted to ours at home! Although the garden was opposite the property, it wasn't a problem and a very pleasant space (albeit note that it is not enclosed for dogs) along side a little stream. There is just the one pub (Who'd Have Thought It Inn) in the village that has just recently changed hands, and although the menu isn't quite as adventurous or extensive as it had previously been, the food we ate one night was good and the owners/staff there was very accommodating and friendly, and the beer was well kept. We had a very pleasant stay in Annie's Cottage and would happily stay there again (more than just the two days we were there) and recommend it to others if looking to stay in the area.

This is a delightful cottage in a beautiful location, ideally situated for exploring the Tamar and Tay Valleys. Annie’s cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. We can’t wait to return there is so much more to explore. Thank you Sally and Christopher, perfect hosts. Andrew, Carolyn and Rufus ?
