  1. Property was perfect for our requirements. The sun porch was great for taking off dirty boots and drying the dog before entering the living room after a walk. We found the property warm and welcoming. Great walks from the door, although it was a bit wet and muddy underfoot in the wood (public footpath which eventually takes you to Llandonna beach. Oct 2012.
  2. Walk on the road down to the beach for quickness, use the footpath outside the property for long scenic route! Cosy property, well heated. April 2012.

  16. We have stayed at Wern Y Wylan several times and can recommend it. It is within easy distance to a lovely beach and near to Beaumaris. We have just stayed in Birch which was ideal as this time there were only two of us, it was warm and cosy and ideal for a winter break. Dogs are welcome at this property, so they have a lovely holiday too! Feb 2009.

  1. We’ve been here before. The property is ideally located next to the beach with no roads to cross. The house is rambling, yet cosy and family orientated. We always feel comfortable and ’at home’ there. Oct 2012.

  1. This property made an ideal base for exploring Anglesey and North Wales. It was clean and maintained to a high standard, it was perfect for a young family. We would highly recommend it. June 2012.
  2. We very much enjoyed our stay at Awel-y-Mor. The bungalow was very spacious and had a large garden with ponies in the field behind. The location was ideal - very close to Porth Darfach with easy access to the rest of Anglesey. The weather was kinder than had been threatened and we did lots of digging and rockpooling on a number of Anglesey’s beautiful beaches. June 2012.

  3. The owners have just bought this property and plan to remodel the kitchen/dining area and install a downstairs bathroom. The location is wonderful and the small village shops memorable for the local produce and warmth of welcome. The beach and the creek below the terrace and balcony were superb.   2. This was our secong holiday at the Gatehouse and it really felt like going home. The cottage and location are superb, the views are also breathtaking. Once again we have booked to go back next year and can’t wait to return! July 2012.

This property is among the best for location, views and comfort and remember that one of the neighbours (you can nearly see the house out of the window but some trees are in the way) is Wills & Kate. Also within half a mile is a motor racing circuit and if you walk along the beach there is a spot to stand and watch. Wonderfull bird life and fauna, lots of orchids and seals just round the headland. Brilliant. April 2012.

The whole village was untouched by tourism and it felt as though we had travelled back in time, we enjoyed our holiday so much that we booked to go again the same time next year.   20. If you like peace, quiet, farm animals and walks with a view from the front door you’ll love The Gatehouse. The Gatehouse is a situated in a beautiful, quiet part of the island with sheep and cattle for company. The locals are really friendly and regularly tend the animals in the neighbouring fields. The walk down to Church Bay takes about 20 minutes and is very scenic. The beach has a beauty whether the tide is in or not and you often have it all to yourself. Aug 2009.
