  1. Small and a bit hard to find but a lovely quaint cottage with very helpful owners and lovely views. About 40 mins from Cork if you are not used to the roads! Perfect for a couple on a budget. Heating is included and it heats up really quickly for a winter break. A bit dusty but a bargain, would reccommend it. Nov 2011.

  1. A lovely comfortable home in unbelievably beautiful setting with views to die for. I thoroughly recommend this property if you like remote wild surroundings and have no fear of driving on very narrow winding roads. They cannot be avoided. We loved it but it is not for those who like to drive fast and get there quickly. Many places to visit, lots for all ages. not at all commercialised. Disabled facilities are very good in Ireland and help is at hand. Some gardens etc marked as all age freindly can be quite a challenge with a wheelchair but we had a lovely time. Party consisted of grandparents, Nanna quite disabled, parents and 1 little girl aged 10 and 1 little boy aged 2. We all had a grand time! July 2011.

  6. Only a week, far too short. This is one of the most beautiful, if not indeed the most, that we have ever visited. Constantly changing views with both the geography and the weather. When the sun shines it is indeed a fantastic place to be. So many places to visit, although you certainly can’t be in a rush to get there, it all added to the charm. The house has been an ideal place to stay and is of a very good standard. We have had a wonderful week and look forward to coming back again.

  1. This was the best holiday we have had for a long time - the weather was sunny and crisp, scenery and trees were colourful, the dog absolutely loved the beaches, and our daughters were delighted and delightful. Could not have been better! Oct 2012.
  2. We really enjoyed our stay in Courtmacsherry. The property is in a great location, minutes from the waterfront and the village. The house is really clean and comfortable, very cosy as we lit the fire with the provided fuel on a couple of evenings. We appreciated the wine and snacks on arrival. A very well equipped property. The kids and the dogs loved the beaches and the fishing, especially at Blind Strand and out at the Point on the Fuschia walk. We went riding in Clonakilty and had surfing lessons at Inchydoney. Eat at Deasy’s in Ring and at the Lifeboat in the village. July 2012.

  1. We loved the cottage and found it to be a very good place from which to explore the area. The only slight criticism was that there is no actual lawned area on which to lie out on as the weather was so good. But we may well return as it was so cosy ! Thank you. June 2010.

  2. We had 4 adults and 4 children in our party and the accommodation gave both families lots of space. The house is ideal as a base to explore the West Cork area. Leap is a small village but the nearby Ross Carbery has a good range of shops and restaurants and a very safe blue flag beach. July 2011.

    1. Amazing little property, small, cosy and very low maintenance. Location is perfect, only a couple of minutes walk from all the shops, cafes and water. Only down side is that the property was very cold and you have to pay extra for the electricity at the end of the week. Overall a perfect little getaway. April 2012.
    2. The apartment was extremely clean and well appointed for 2 people. Only a two minute walk into centre although the hill back is slightly steep. Great base to explore county, with private parking. We loved Kinsale Fishy Fishy was an expensive treat but worth every penny, some great music in the local bars and friendly helpful locals. We have been all over Ireland and Kinsale is in the top three places we have visited. Loved it. Oct 2011.
    3. The Belfry was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We were close to the town centre and had access to many activities during our stay. It’s the third time we’ve booked a holiday through welcome cottages and once again we weren’t disappointed. I would recommend the belfry to anyone whether they want a base to tour from or just to stay in beautiful Kinsale. Sept 2011.

    1. This holiday home is very spacious, excellent value for money, comfortable, in quiet & attractive surroundings with views of fields & mountains. Plenty of parking, you can drive around the outside of the house & easily accessible off of a very reasonable road (not a track). All bedrooms are a good size, plenty of room in lounge, separate dinning room & kitchen (which also has a dinning table). Location is ideal for many trips all over Cork & Kerry & possibly a little further. May 2012.

We arrived quite late from the ferry crossing but we were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed us around. There was plenty of space and lots of literature for places to see around the coastline. We really enjoyed our holiday and the weather was kind to us - only 1 day of rain!
