  • *1.These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions.
  • 2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 31st March 2014.
  • 3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
  • 4. ~“Nothing more to pay until 2014” applies to bookings for arrivals between 13th March and 31st December 2014. Bookings made for arrivals between 1st January and 12th March 2014 will have balance payments due at the end of 2013.
  • 5. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
  • 6. The difference between the £25 low deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

  2. This is the perfect location for an away from it all vocation. The property provides very comfortable accommodation and stunning views, whilst giving you also access to exercise via the private tennis court. What more could you ask for. We loved it. Local restaurants and bars were friendly with impromptu Irish music. All set in beautiful coutryside. A very magical place. Aug 2011.

  4. The house is in a beautifully scenic quiet spot, but close enough to the main road and shops for convenience. The thatch, stonework and furniture created a lovely comfortable warm atmosphere, and the views out the many windows were beautiful, overlooking the lovely landscaped gardens,and the sea. The house exuded great taste and comfort. It really was a hidden gem. The tennis court was used a lot in the warm weather as was the outdoor stone dining area with fantastic views over to the sea. Rain kept us indoors for a few days and we lit fires in the huge stone fireplace. All fuel was provided by the owner and there were bookcases full of books which we were able to use. It is a beautiful house where you could do very little for a long time, a perfect base for touring the area or for complete relaxation. July 2011.

  1. Lovely cottage, all needs provided for. Owner very keen for our comfort and very helpful. Easy reach of good eating places and great area. Plenty of places of interest to visit for children and adults. July 2012.
  2. The Lakeside Lodge was very clean, a bit on the cold side to start with. All the floors was laminate flooring, which was very easy to clean. The kitchen area was very good everything you needed. Two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms very good. The large bedroom was very good. The smaller one would be better to have the connecting beds. So if needed it could be made in to a double room as well. Little utility room is a must. Out of 10/8. May 2011.
  3. We had a wonderful week and enjoyed the stunningly beautiful and quiet coastal and mountain scenery. The cottage was most tastefully and thoughtfully furnished and provided everything we needed. We really warmed to Nora, the landlady, who was so welcoming and helpful, yet unobtrusive. Thank you Nora for your part in our enjoyment of a great first visit to Ireland. May 2011.

  6. Lounge was a bit dark - feel the house was built the wrong way round and didn’t benefit from natural sunlight but otherwise lovely. Sept 2009.
  7. A friendly ’host’ should you want anything but discreetly absent otherwise. All you need is there either as a touring base or for local walks including one to the shoreline via the quiet roadway through the nearby golf course. Everyone is very friendly and you are reminded of a theme from TV show Ballykissangel when you see the name of one man linked to so many businesses in Bantry. Garnish Island is well worth a visit from Glengarrif- we used the Blue Pool Ferry past the Seals and closely observed a Herring Gull dive bombing a Heron on it’s feeding area and a cormorant on a rock passed at very close quarters. Weather was unkind but never stopped our enjoyment and even added dramatic skies to the already exceptional scenery. June 2007.

  4. The accommodation was very close to the beach and had stunning views over the estuary. As were were not on the ground floor, no persons were able to look in but our view was not compromised. The rooms were well sized and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was practical and the use of a washing machine was invaluable especially with 2 young children! May 2010.

  1. Lovely cottage, it was just what we needed. It had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. The location was amazing and there was plenty of outdoor space for the girls to run around and make as much noise as they liked! We all had a lovely holiday. Oct 2011.

      1. This was our fifth visit to Ireland and definitely the best! Lee and Andy were very friendly and helpful, the bungalow was spacious and very comfortable with beautiful views of the sea and mountains. We could hear the seals at night and see them during the day. Sheep wandered past and it was a beautiful restful location. The bungalow was fenced and it was great for the dogs to be able to enjoy the outside. You could walk to the beach by going over the style at the bottom of the garden. The sunsets were spectacular and the stars at night were amazing due to there being no street lights. It was a brilliant three weeks and we were very sad to leave! Sept 2012.
      2. The location is stunning with mountain and sea views all round. We were lucky to have three cuckoos singing on fence posts and two Irish Mountain Hares on the drive, as well as seals on the rocks in the bay! May 2012.
      3. Enjoyed the solitude which was required for the holiday. Weather very mixed for time of year however got out every day. Due to the vastness of the area a lot of mileage was covered by hired car. Note the property is very isolated and food shopping requires much planning in advance. I liked the position of the property and will consider a visit in the future. Oct 2011.
