  1. What a fantastic property for a family holiday, perfect location, lovely garden, open plan layout so you’re not getting under each others feet. The property is also very well equipped, there were lots of toys, ride on bikes, scooters etc for the children there were also high chairs and baby gates infact we didn’t need to take anything other than our clothes with us because everything else was already there. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a lovely relaxing family holiday. Oct 2012.

  5. Fantastic house with lots to entertain children and in a great location. Well equipped, a good size house and garden and nice and clean and modern. We were lucky with the weather (April 2011) and managed to get to the local beach (5 mins walk if that) for some rock pools and some sandcastles (a lovely sandy beach). Would go back there again.   2. We had a lovely week in Sunshine House, which was aptly named as we were very lucky with the weather. We were able to make the most of the garden, which was surprisingly peaceful. The property was modern and spacious, but attractive as well. A beautiful place to spend a special family occasion and enjoyed by guests of all ages. April 2011.

  1. Lovely position, stunning view of the river. Very convenient for the shops, pub and did lots of walks from the house. Very good information leaflets and walk plans. Warkworth gave easy access to lots of visitor attractions around, beaches, castles, gardens etc without having to drive long distances, which makes a better break! May 2012.
  2. This cottage was just beautiful. Fab location, spotless and finished to a high spec. We were even left a tin of (really yummy) biscuits on arrival! The small courtyard is a sun trap in the mornings and I did not expect to be able to have breakfast outside in my pjs in Northumberland! I cannot praise this place enough and hope to be back. Next time it will be with the family as it is all kitted out for kids too. May 2012.
  3. Waterside is a fantastic place to stay, it’s like a home from home. It’s ideally located from place like Alnwick castle & the holy islands. I would recommend it to anyone as the perfect place to stay if holidaying in Northumberland. March 2012.
  4. A fabulous modern three storey property in a fabulous village location. Ideally located to explore Northumberland.   5. Lovely views across to Amble harbour, really quiet location. Superbly equipped for families with small children with loads of toys and books, and even a dressing up box! Buggy, Bumbo, baby carrier, high chair and travel cot all provided and in excellent condition. Proximity of water not a problem due to the fence. Only one bathroom (extra toilet downstairs), and lounge on first floor between two bedrooms, but these did not cause us any problems. Sept 2011.
  6. Waterside could be best described as ’idyllic’ - wonderful location and accommodation. The little ’extras’ which were waiting for us on arrival made it even more special. Brilliant for a spot of birdwatching and I imagine it would be excellent for families with children. March 2011.

  7. The owner has thought of everything you will need on holiday. Everything supplied for the kitchen - washing up liquid, cloths, dish towels, etc. A radio times was provided and a printout of safe crossing times to the Holy Isle - all very thoughtful. We immediately felt at home staying here, and our little dog enjoyed the house and compact garden. A short 10 min walk takes you to the absolutely beautiful beach of Beadnell. April 2011.

  9. This is a beautiful holiday house - the best we’ve ever stayed in. The location is fantastic - just over the road from a beautiful beach. The house is lovely; spacious and nicely furnished, and was so clean and well prepared for us on our arrival. We were there in a very cold February but the house was lovely and warm. Kitchen is perfect for cooking and all sitting round the table chatting and playing games. Great enclosed front garden - perfect for our dog - and a huge back garden which would be great for football, running around, sunbathing (though we made igloos and snowmen!). BBQs and pretty much anything. We loved it and look forward to returning. March 2010.

  1. We had a wonderful week at the Granary Cottage as it was eprfect for access to Hadrian’s Wall and it was nice to be situated next to a lovely pub too! Our little West Highland terrier dog also enjoyed it, especially being able to look out over miles and miles of fields! We would definitely visit again! April 2012.
  2. Very comfortable,warm cottage next door to an excellent dog friendly inn serving first class food - no noise from inn or road.Great views from living room and upstairs bedroom. Enclosed garden was ideal for dogs and kids would love it too. There is a line for drying clothes outside if you don’t want to use the tumble dryer, just remember some clothes pegs. Asda is only 10 minutes away for food and wine. Good walk along the river in Corbridge with or without dog. March 2012.

  4. This is the third time we have stayed at this cottage in Wark with the owners, Bruce and Sally, and we enjoy it every time. You are always made to feel most welcome and are treated like a long lost friend. The location is Ideal for exploring Hadrians Wall. We recommend eating at the Hadrian in nearby Wall, much better value than Battlesteads. The weather during our latest stay was not ideal! but it didn’t stop us enjoying our stay. July 2011.

  1. The cottage was very well equiped and furnished to a high standard. It was cleaned halfway throuigh our stay - this is the first property we have stayed in where this was done. I would highly recommed Hollyberry to anyone who is looking to get away from it all. June 2012.
  2. This little cottage is a gem! Nestled in a lovely little town with great walks near by. But owning a car is a must for longer stays. The actual cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Having the log fire was a must for s and it did not disappoint. Also the bed was amazing. Nov 2011.

  5. A lovely cottage with all mod cons. The bed is magnificent and supremely comfortable! Soft furnishings are very stylish and of a high quality giving a sumptuous feel to a simple cottage. Wi-fi and free telephone calls added to the good value. We did find the bathroom damp and hard to get towels dry - washing machine has no tumble drier, also razor socket is attached to side of mirror with no shelf so couldn’t plug in electric toothbrush easily. We had a wet week of weather which was a shame but didn’t dampen our holiday mood. The village itself is lovely and all shops, pubs, etc. very handy. July 2011.
