  1. Lovely cottage very peaceful and easy to get about from to all places of interest. July 2012.
  2. Lovely garden, nice and comfortable cottage with a bit of a ’retro’ interior. We stayed there with a party of five, of which two adults and three children aged 11,14 and 16. Suited perfectly; they liked the cottage as well as we did. April 2012.
  3. A very comfortable property in a very quiet location. The gardens were lovely and well kept. The piano was an added bonus. March 2012.

At the core of The Paddock (ref W3101) is the original 300 year old cottage which had two larger additions over the years, the larger of which was formerly a bakehouse and then the local school room. The cottage was reconstructed in the 1960s, and has been thoughtfully converted into a holiday home. Next door the two horse stable and hayloft, The Stable at the Paddock (ref W43288) was first converted to a studio work room in the 1960s. Situated in the small hamlet of Asthall Leigh, 11/2 miles from Minster Lovell, mid way between the picturesque town of Burford and all its antique shops and the busy industrial town of Witney. Oxford, Cheltenham, Bath and Stratford-upon-Avon, amongst others, are all within easy reach, as well as the well loved Cotswold attractions of Lechlade, Bibury, The Slaughters and Bourton-on-the-Water. Shop 2 miles, pubs and restaurants 1.5 miles.
