  1. The only problem was that I had taken some lamb to roast for dinner, and there was no oven. The microwave plus grill wasn’t suitable for the meat I had. Everything else was fine. Oct 2012.
  2. Excellent base for exploring area, clean comfortable accommodation welcome pack on arrival most appreciated. April 2012.
  3. Very comfortable home away from home, within walking distance of the village shop, two pubs, and the bus into York is just around the corner. The bed was the MOST comfotable I have ever slept in. WiFi available in the utility room. Overall, a great place to stay and Annie is a wonderful host. Sept 2011.
  4. This cottage was extremely comfortable and in a lovely quiet village just north of York which made it ideal for exploring the Moors and the centre of York. Unfortunately we didn’t get the weather, but it didn’t stop us doing what we wanted to do. Lovely town nearby with teashops. Would highly recommend this property. Aug 2011.
  5. Lovely peaceful village of Stillington - excellent welcoming pub at The White Bear in the village with high quality food. Owner of holiday let provided a generous, thoughtful ’welcome pack’ comprising bread, Yorkshire Brack, butter, milk & orange juice. Very cosy cottage. March 2011.
  6. Quiet and peaceful. Well-equipped cottage though an oven would have been ideal. Sept 2010.
  7. Comfortable with all necessary amenities for an enjoyable stay. July 2010.
  8. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. June 2010.
  9. The cottage was perfect for a quiet break. It had everything we needed and was a lovely little hideaway. April 2010.
  10. Quiet location, clean, tidy and modern looking. March 2010.
  11. Very clean, excellent heating, well provisioned. Excellent location for York and surrounding area. Jan 2010.
  12. I liked the privacy with its own little enclosed patio area. Aug 2009.
  13. The cottage is in a very peaceful area, but near enough to all the main attractions of Yorkshire. This can be done by public transport or car. April 2009.
  14. Truly excellent accommodation, good position for reaching all areas of interest and exceptionally clean and well maintained. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Thank you. May 2009.
  15. Very comfortable hideaway in a lovely village. Good pubs nearby. March 2009.
