  1. Excellent. Warm and comfortable cottage in a lovely quiet location, with wonderful views all round, the south west coast path is very close for walking etc. Porlock weir about 3m, I will visit again in the summer hopefully have better weather. P.s. a long way from main road up a narrow lane thought i had gone wrong at first but just follow directions! it is there. Nov 2012.
  2. Just amazing! Oct 2012.
  3. A lovely hideaway tucked up high above Porlock Weir. A cottage to really get away from it all. Cottage was very old and full of character and full of lovely old furniture which really complemented the style of the place. Fantastic for dogs as whole area is very dog friendly and some lovely walks right from the doorstep. Fantastic view from the garden which would be lovely if it was warm enough to sit out there! Feb 2012.
  4. Very comfortable and easy to relax in. Very nice location - a real getaway. Thanks. Nov 2011.
  5. Easy to find as long as you follow your nose down the lane! Pretty and very welcoming cottage. Has a special atmosphere. Although adjoins other cottages,it was very quiet. Spectacular setting, lovely, very steep walks around the property. Easy access (car unless you are a great hiker!) to other parts of Exmoor. Safe garden, fine for dog. Take supplies as you won’t want to waste time shopping! Buzzards and Red deer regularly seen. Only drawback (end September) was flies in the windows of sitting room. Walking gear needed. Sept 2011.
  6. The views from the cottage are well worth the drive through narrow lanes to get there. Lots of lovely walks and great for mountain bikers! Plenty of dog friendly pubs around for dog owners. March 2011.
  7. A lovely cottage. Very cosy & in such a quite area. Lots of places to walk to & visit. Would love to stay there again. Feb 2011.
  8. Unusual, peaceful, relaxing accommodation. Wonderful location with views of the sea from the stable door. Excellent views from all windows. The walk down to Culbone church is recommended. Red deer in the woods; sheep and lambs in the fields; well away from the madding crowd. Everyone, including the dog, loved it there. Thanks Mr Bright! Feb 2011.

  17. I love that the property feels like a home. The decoration is lovingly done. This was my third visit, and I now almost consider this to be my own holiday cottage - but without the burden of responsibility. Friendly caretaker as well, who’s willing to help. Aug 2009.

Set on a quiet country lane in beautiful walking country overlooking the Bristol Channel, Parsonage Farm is the perfect holiday location to ’get away from it all’. There has been a house here for almost a thousand years and that rich history is still evident in both properties. Reputedly, Coleridge wrote ’Kubla Khan’ in Culbone Parsonage, the main house. Parsonage Farm Stables (ref 15800) occupies what would once have been the hayloft floor of the adjoining barn, and Parsonage Otter Stables (ref 18192) has been attractively converted from the old stables. The holiday properties are ideally located as a base for walking, touring and riding on the crown of Exmoor. Places to visit include Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth, Watchet Marina and Dunster Castle (NT). The glorious West Somerset and North Devon Coast, Minehead, Exmoor and Lorna Doone Valley are all within easy reach. The highest ’Free House’ pub on Exmoor is just a mile or so away from the house. Picturesque Porlock Weir with its shingle beach is just 3 miles down the hill via a toll road, and local shops can be found in the sleepy village of Porlock. Refs 15800 and 18192 can be booked together to accommodate up to 7 guests.

First floor: 2 steps to living room. Dining room. Kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 bunk (can be twin). 3 steps down to bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.
