  1. A quaint little cottage, although in need of some modernisation, but this could take away its charm. Very well equipped for a self catering holiday. Beautiful views from the balcony. Secure enclosed large garden for the dog. The small bedroom was very small, but this was shown in the website, and a little cold at night time ?? Owners (living next door) very helpful and friendly. Although the beach was just 4 or 5 minutes walk downhill and then 130 steps down, it was hard work on the way back up when you are unfit !!!!!! If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and restful holiday cottage, this is perfect. Aug 2011.
  2. The Cottage was well appointed had great views and was very close to both beach and good pub/restaurant It also has large secure garden to allow dog to run around unsupervised. Dec 2010.
  3. Beautifully presented accommodation just as described in the brochure with a lovely cream tea waiting for us on arrival. A really nice welcome from the Owners with lots of local information, tips and ideas available. Aug 2010.
  4. The enclosed garden meant that it was safe to let our dog out in the garden unsupervised. May 2010.
  5. Overall not bad. May 2010.
  6. Clean and warm. Lovely welcoming Devonshire cream tea with home made scones, clotted cream and de luxe strawberry jam plus a pint of milk in the fridge. March 2010.
  7. Beautiful setting with lovely views back and front. Very quiet and peaceful yet near Torquay and services. Dec 2009.
  8. Good view of the sea. Close to a nice pub, and an excellent hotel/restaurant at the top of the hill. In Summer it would be wonderful. Dec 2009.
  9. The sea view was excellent. Oct 2009.
  10. It was perfect for the two of us and the dog, but if there was more of you and had to say in because of the weather it would be very small. Sept 2009.
  11. Well laid out, good furniture, excellent kitchen facilities, beds/mattresses firm, nice patio to eat out on. June 2009.
  12. Quite a bit to do with young children, beaches good, but very hilly in places so some people with walking difficulties may struggle. June 2009.
  13. Excellent location, beautiful views to the sea, sun catcher out the back on the decking. Beautiful walks around the area, and very close to Torquay and other popular locations. May 2008.

  17. Wonderful peaceful position with sea views. Well equipped cottage. June 2007.

Boat trips to Dartmouth from the Quay make a splendid day out. Exeter is 15 miles, with its magnificent cathedral and shopping centre, or visit the quay and take a boat trip to one of the many pubs waiting to be discovered.
