Lovely cottage and indeed very neat cosy and warm as we went in December. Only down side is the toilet downstairs and the stairs are extremely steep . The views are fabulous and we could have been any where in Europe with the snow covered peaks of the Galloway hills. Bet it fab in the summer I hope to return one day .

small ok for one. kitchen ????? a little cold in bed at night no wfi little toilet roll but ok prob stay again it is quite cosy for one

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The kitchen is small, it does state it is a galley size kitchen, and I'm afraid we cannot do anything about the size of it, as that's how it was built over 200 years ago. We have got a spare blanket in the wardrobe in the bedroom if you are cold. It doesn't state that we have Wi-Fi in the facilities of the property. The housekeeper from Cumbrian Cottages who oversees the property for us usually puts a spare toilet roll at the side of the toilet, so not sure what happened there. We will enquire about that.

This is a small terraced house with downstairs wc behind kitchen, and no outdoor space. The cooker is a baby belling on a worktop. There is a top loading washing machine in the bedroom but guests are not to use it. So as a base to tour the northern lake district is was OK but somewhat disappointing.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry that you were disappointed with Cosy cottage. The washer has now been removed from the property. The reason we have a baby belling oven is due to the space, it is only a galley kitchen. It doesn't say we have any private outside space in the description of the cottage. You can sit in front of the cottage and look out at the mountains and sea.
