  1. Lovely cottage in quiet location.Very well equipped. Log burner in living room - no real need for the electric radiators - we only used them in the mornings to take the chill off before we went out for the day. Log burner does use a lot of logs but it’s worth it for the warmth it radiates and when you run out you can purchase more from Margaret & Neil who incidentally were excellent hosts even leaving a welcome pack for us of wine and eggs. Will definitely return in the future.Dogs loved to sit at the patio doors and watch the wildlife especially Emily the hen! It was a real home from home and more. Oct 2012.
  2. The cottage was homely, comfortable and well-appointed. Access to A90 is quick and easy. July 2012.
  3. Very nice cottage everything needed was there, and Neil and Margaret were really good, made us feel really welcome. They took time to explain where everything was, how everything worked and a nice welcome pack. Although we had taken our own old towels for our dog, Margaret even gave us some of her own old towels for the dog. June 2012.
  4. Appletree Cottage is lovely, clean, comfortable, everything you could want (and more) in a self catered property. Thoughtful welcome gifts, soft fluffy towels, big cosy bed that’s not keen to let you out on a morning so be prepared to chill out. Margaret & Neil (owners) make you feel very welcome and are on hand to help with any queries. A great place to relax and use as a base for exploring the area. Butterstone Loch Bistro on the road to Dunkeld is a real find. Good food in a beautiful setting right on the shore of the Loch. Go on treat yourself! May 2012.

These two delightful stone built holiday cottages, (refs 27170 and 27171), have been thoughtfully converted from former stables into lovely cosy accommodation. Situated on a working farm, they have been beautifully styled with contemporary furnishings and make a great base to explore this lovely area. For family groups they can be booked together, or alternatively, they make a good choice for couples. There are several good golf courses, fishing, including sea fishing, and other country sports establishments, all within a short drive, or you may prefer the superb walking available in the nearby Angus Glens. There are plenty of activities in the city of Dundee, 4 miles, from country parks at Clatto and Camperdown, to ice skating, cinema, leisure pool and HMS Discovery. St Andrews, Perth and the East Neuk of Fife are all well worth a visit or alternatively indulge in some retail therapy in Dundee’s shopping centres. The villages and towns strung out on the coast from Broughty Ferry to Montrose offer clean beaches and local produce, notably the famous Smokies from Arbroath. Shop 1 mile, pub 11/2 miles, restaurant 2 miles.
